The role
In line with our ongoing growth and success in securing and delivering major road infrastructure projects across Uzbekistan, we invite expressions of interest for the position of
Chief Resident Engineer / Team Leader - Roads
for our road infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the country's most important road development initiatives while supporting SMEC's strategic growth objectives.

Suitable Applicants Will Have/be

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering required; a Master's degree in a related field is an additional advantage.
  • At least 15 years in road infrastructure projects, including a minimum of 10 years overseeing design reviews and supervising cement concrete pavement construction in a Resident Engineer or Project Manager role.
  • Minimum 5 years working on similar projects outside the home country.
  • Around 5 years handling contracts supported by AIIB, ADB, or World Bank.
  • Knowledge of Russian language is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
