The role
In line with our ongoing growth and success in securing and delivering major road infrastructure projects across Uzbekistan, we invite expressions of interest for the position of
Deputy Resident Engineer
for our road infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the country's most important road development initiatives while supporting SMEC's strategic growth objectives.

Suitable Applicants Will Have/be

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized university. A professional certification in civil engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years in road and highway projects, including supervision of urban and rural highways, cement and asphalt pavements, major bridges, and grade-separated interchanges.
• At least 8 years working on projects abroad, ideally in 3 or more countries; prior experience in the region is a plus.
• Experience leading site operations under multiple FIDIC-based contracts, including civil works, will be advantageous.
• Strong English proficiency; knowledge of Russian and local languages is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
