What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

• Support the Senior Corporate Counsel in corporate and commercial transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, filings, registrations, and interactions with Uzbek governmental and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare and review legal documentation in Uzbek, Russian, and English, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Conduct detailed legal research on Uzbek legislation, providing analyses and summaries to support legal decisions.
• Provide advice on legal matters relevant to corporate governance, commercial agreements, and day-to-day operational issues.
• Assist in managing relationships with external legal advisors and stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and organization of board and shareholder meetings, including preparing meeting agendas, resolutions, and minutes.
• Assist in handling cross-border transactions, providing legal support and coordinating with international stakeholders and legal teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate common law agreements such as NDAs, engagement letters, and other contracts in English.
• Provide comprehensive support to the investment and administrative teams, addressing their legal needs and assisting in related processes and documentation.

• Bachelor's or Specialist's Degree in Law from one of a recognized top Uzbek university.
• Qualified to practice law.
• Minimum of three years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably gained within a reputable law firm, international company, or corporate legal department.
• Demonstrated experience in interactions with Uzbek regulatory bodies and state authorities, including managing legal filings and registrations.
• Experience in cross-border transactions and working with common law agreements.
• Fluent professional proficiency in Uzbek, Russian, and English (oral and written), with the ability to utilize professional legal terminology accurately.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and professional responsibility.
• Experience or familiarity with financial services, capital markets, investment or private equity sectors.
• Exposure to litigation processes and dispute resolution in Uzbekistan.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
