Role Overview:

As part of Vault's global coverage, we are supporting one of our affiliated international law firms -
Lexminster
- in seeking a mid-level Legal Associate to join their team in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Associate will support cross-border corporate transactions and regulatory matters, with a focus on corporate/M&A, commercial contracts, employment and compliance.

Location:

Based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support on matters related to labor and regulatory compliance in Uzbekistan
• Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and international clients to ensure smooth execution of legal work
• Advise on corporate governance, structuring, and cross-border M&A transactions
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, shareholder arrangements, and employment documentation
• Conduct legal due diligence and prepare risk assessments for corporate transactions
• Contribute to the development of internal know-how, templates, and operational processes

Qualifications/Experience:

• Law degree from a recognized Uzbek university
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, Uzbek regulatory, labor and/or M&A, preferably with a leading law firm or Big Four legal practice
• Fluent in Uzbek, Russian, and English (written and spoken)
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Participation in international moot court competitions will be considered a plus
