About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and proactive
Accountant
to join our fast-growing
Payments FinTech
team in Uzbekistan. You'll manage day-to-day accounting operations, perform high-volume transaction reconciliations, and ensure full compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for someone who's passionate about digital payments, automation, and financial accuracy.

Requirements

  • Maintain accurate financial records and manage daily accounting operations.
  • Perform
    daily reconciliations
    between banks, payment gateways, and merchant accounts.
  • Prepare and file
    VAT, corporate income tax, and other local tax returns
    in compliance with Uzbekistan legislation.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for merchant settlements, chargebacks, and commissions.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Support external and internal audits with required documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, and staff reimbursements.
  • Monitor
    cash flow
    , assist with forecasting, and prepare management reports.
  • Collaborate with technology and operations teams to automate and streamline financial processes.
  • Implement and maintain strong
    internal controls
    to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally within a
    FinTech, PSP, or financial services
    company.
  • Experience with
    Uzbek tax reporting
    and working knowledge of the
    State Tax Committee (STC) e-filing systems
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    payment flows, settlements, and reconciliation processes
    .
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., 1C, QuickBooks, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a
    fast-paced, tech-driven environment
    with cross-functional teams.
