Our client is a large investment holding and is looking for a ESG Manager, within their operations based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ESG strategy across construction projects, focusing on environmental sustainability, social compliance, and governance standards.
  • Lead environmental initiatives including carbon reduction, waste management, water conservation, and alignment with green-building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, Estidama).
  • Conduct ESG risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure regulatory and client compliance.
  • Oversee worker welfare programs, health & safety compliance, ethical recruitment practices, and supply-chain social responsibility.
  • Manage ESG reporting using recognized frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP) and prepare disclosures for clients, regulators, and internal leadership.
  • Collaborate with project managers, HSE teams, procurement, and subcontractors to embed ESG requirements in contracts and project execution.
  • Drive governance initiatives including anti-bribery compliance, stakeholder engagement, and supplier ESG due-diligence.
  • Track ESG KPIs, analyze performance data, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement across all construction sites.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field, with years experience in ESG, sustainability, or HSE within construction/infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD) and green-building standards such as LEED, BREEAM, and Estidama.
  • Proven experience in conducting ESG audits, site inspections, risk assessments, and implementing environmental and social compliance protocols.
  • Familiarity with worker welfare standards, ethical recruitment, labor law compliance, and supply-chain due diligence in construction environments.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, with preferred certifications such as LEED GA/AP, ISO 14001, NEBOSH, or IEMA.
