The role
In line with our ongoing growth and success in securing and delivering major road infrastructure projects across Uzbekistan, we invite expressions of interest for the position of
Road Safety Specialist
for our road infrastructure projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the country's most important road development initiatives while supporting SMEC's strategic growth objectives.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technology from a recognized university.
- At least 15 years in traffic management or road safety, including a minimum of 8 years on international projects in multiple countries.
- Proficient in using the Star Ratings for Schools (SR4S) methodology under the International Road Assessment Program (iRAP).
- Well-versed in international road safety standards and modern best practices for implementation.
- Strong English proficiency: knowledge of Russian and local languages is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
