Role Overview

We are hiring a
Corridor Development & Trade Policy Associate
to support our infrastructure strategy and trade facilitation work in Central Asia. Based in or near Tashkent, the ideal candidate will contribute to regional integration diagnostics, investment strategy papers, and trade corridor optimization projects spanning the Silk Road region and beyond.

You will work closely with policy specialists and infrastructure planners to develop insights for institutions advancing regional connectivity, customs reform, and cross-border transport logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on trade flows, transit regimes, and corridor performance in Central Asia and surrounding regions
• Map regulatory and logistical bottlenecks across road, rail, and multimodal networks
• Support the drafting of technical briefs, strategy memos, and investment alignment documents for public and development stakeholders
• Monitor initiatives such as the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program and Eurasian transport corridors
• Prepare stakeholder engagement materials and contribute to policy consultation sessions with ministries and corridor agencies

Qualifications

• Degree in International Trade, Public Policy, Transport Planning, or Development Economics
• 2–5 years of experience in trade logistics, infrastructure development, or regional cooperation frameworks
• Familiarity with CAREC, Belt & Road corridors, or customs modernization programs in Central Asia is highly desirable
• Strong analytical writing and research capabilities
• Fluency in English required
