Low Carbon Analyst

About The Role
Juru is looking for a Low Carbon Analyst, a recent graduate or in his/her early career, to join our Advisory team in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. You will be part of the team to support Juru in delivering advisory services related to sustainable energy transition (energy/resource efficiency, renewables), environment, climate change and green growth, including but not limited to working with energy and emissions data, energy system/market analysis and economic modelling across some of the most high-profile energy projects in the geographies we serve.

Energy sector experience is not critical and we encourage applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

• Undertake data collection, validation and analysis (energy, environment, climate change and related economic analysis), both independently and collaboratively within the team and across other Juru teams;
• Communicate the outcomes of analyses and produce analytics with engaging charts and graphics, using a variety of software tools, such as Microsoft Office;
• Support in conducting statistical and economic analysis and modelling, incl. through use of industry standard software;
• Liaise with and maintain client and partner relationships in terms of data acquisition, validation, improvement of data quality, and overall data management;
• Support in organisation of project-related events, incl. but not limited to meetings, workshops and conferences, as required; document the events by taking records and preparing relevant summary reports and memos;
• Engage in organisational part of site-visits and missions – coordinate logistics, purchase of necessary equipment, prepare schedule and budget;
• Contribute to team efforts in drafting and reviewing various project-related documentation, incl. but not limited to project reports and submissions.

Essential
Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in economics, business management or similar
• Recent graduate, preferably with at least one year of experience in a similar role
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated personal and professional commitment, respectively towards the mission and values of Juru and accomplishing assigned tasks in a diligent and quality manner
• Results-driven team player
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, in particular MS Excel
• Good command of English and Russian, particularly written.
