Urea Production Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the urea production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Oversee production planning, execution, and optimization to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources including raw materials, labor, and equipment.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet demand and minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and address quality issues promptly through corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Lead initiatives to reduce waste and improve energy efficiency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship, fostering continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Implement staff training and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Prepare and manage the production budget, monitor costs, and report financial performance.
• Communicate production status and challenges to senior management and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with external parties such as vendors and consultants to support operations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate lessons learned into processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including reports and technical specifications.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for debottlenecking initiatives.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Management, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in urea/fertilizer production or chemical process industries.
• Proven leadership in managing large production teams.
• Strong understanding of EHS compliance, process optimization, and quality systems.
• Experience with budget management and cost reduction strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
