Community Liaison Assistant/Specialist
in
Kungrad, Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan
, for a wind power plant construction project.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Community Liaison and Admin Assistant/Specialist will play a key role in facilitating communication between the community and the organization, ensuring effective dialogue and support for the wind power plant project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Communication & Coordination

  1. Assist in organizing and attending community meetings, events, or forums to ensure effective dialogue between residents, stakeholders, and the organization.
  2. Communicate project updates, policy changes, or service information to community members and gather feedback.
  3. Translate or simplify technical documents (if required) to ensure accessibility for the community.

Relationship Management

  1. Build and maintain a network with community leaders, local organizations, and government representatives.
  2. Document and follow up on community concerns, supporting the development of solutions.

Administrative & Logistical Support

  1. Prepare meeting materials, event schedules, reports, and minutes.
  2. Maintain a community liaison database, updating contact records and communication logs.

Event Execution

  1. Assist in planning and executing community outreach initiatives (e.g., open houses, workshops, cultural festivals).
  2. Handle event logistics (venue booking, material preparation, promotional distribution, etc.).

Problem-Solving

  1. Identify potential community conflicts, escalate issues, and support conflict resolution.
  2. Address community complaints or inquiries promptly and professionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Work, Public Relations, Public Administration, Sociology, Environment Science, or related fields.
  2. 1+ years of experience in community work, customer service, or relevant fields.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Fluency in Karakalpakstan language, Uzbek and English, proficiency in Russian is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to navigate multicultural environments.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently with attention to detail.
  • MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and social media tools.
  • Empathy, patience, teamwork, and independent problem-solving.
