Central Asian University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Applied Mathematics at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer.

We are seeking passionate educators and researchers with a strong academic foundation and practical experience in mathematical sciences — individuals ready to inspire the next generation of engineers, data scientists, and innovators.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and scholarly activity, as well as bring global perspectives and practical experience to the classroom.


Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to teach, supervise students, and contribute to curriculum and research activities in
Applied Mathematics
at the rank of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor/Lecturer.

Teaching responsibilities may include courses such as:

  • Calculus (for IE and BME programs)
  • Calculus for Engineers
  • Calculus and Differential Equations


Education:

A basic qualification (minimum 5 years for a Professor position) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline from a reputed institution, along with a postgraduate degree (Diploma, Master's, PhD, or DSc) in the relevant subject.

Candidates should have demonstrated teaching or research experience and the ability to teach and assess skills at the undergraduate level.


Work Experience:

2-10 years formal teaching experience, in relevant specialty/subjects after post graduation. Preferably degrees from multiple countries to have a global experience. And work experience in different universities in different countries to be familiar with university functioning in higher education.


Special Knowledge and Skills:

Expertise in applied mathematics, including differential equations, numerical analysis, and optimization.Strong foundation in mathematical modeling and computational methods.Proficiency in programming and mathematical software (MATLAB, Python, R, etc.).Experience in interdisciplinary applications (engineering, physics, finance, data science).Proven research and publication record in reputable journals.Experience in securing research grants and leading international projects.
